Blythmoor

THE GIRLS!

Asgards Prairie Schooner, CD RA TD came to us from Asgard Labradors in Montana. Schooner has placed well as specialties (First in Am Bred at the Rose City specialty, Second in AmBred at the PSLRA specialty and 4th in Open Black bitches at the National Specialty in Denver 2005) . She is AKC pointed and was Reserve Winner Bitch at the large Portland Kennel Club show in January/05. She has finished her Rally Novice and Advanced titles and her Companion Dog title. She earned her Tracking Dog title in November, 2007 and is working towards her TDX.

Sabrina (U-CD Blythmoor's Undeniable,CDX RX,OA OAJ TDX WC NAC NJC NGC PD1) is Whisper's daughter, sired by CH Breton Gate's Duke Hissarlik, JH. She has quite a collection of obedience, agility and tracking titles and as a retirement gift, she finished her Rally Excellent title.

Sabrina is spayed, but she's pretty typical of the Labradors we like to see at Blythmoor -- bed warmers with pizzazz. She was my heart dog. Since she was a small puppy, all I had to do was say her name and she came running. That was her downfall in Agility competition because she never really wanted to run too far ahead of me. But you can see from her long list of titles, that she was a talented and versatile dog.

Sabrina died this year just short of her 12th birthday. She was my most loved dog and her passing has left a huge hold in my heart. She was a treasure -- both Undeniable and irreplaceable.

We are not a "kennel" facility. I have my personal dogs and breed occasionally. I will no longer be breeding Labradors. My heart has gone out of it. Since hounds have always been a love of mine, I have two gorgeous Harriers and will breed an occasional litter.

A good place to check for responsible Labrador breeders is on the Rose City Labrador Retriever Club website.

Are my dogs spoiled? Just a little!
